The workshop “Theory, models and simulations in Celestial Mechanics” is organized within the project MIUR-PRIN 20178CJA2B titled “New frontiers of Celestial Mechanics: theory and applications” (http://www.mat.unimi.it/I-CELMECH/). The workshop is planned to take place at the University of Pisa (Italy) during the period 14-16 June 2022.

Besides invited talks and talks given by the members of the project, there will be few slots available for contributed presentations.

The following topics will be covered:

  • Constructive KAM & Nekhoroshev theories,
  • Long-term dynamics of gravitationally interacting bodies,
  • Regularization theory for N-body problems,
  • Orbit determination with linkage methods and patched dynamics,
  • Stability theories for non-purely-Hamiltonian mechanical models,
  • Space debris dynamics,
  • Extra-solar planetary dynamics,
  • Low-energy orbits in Astrodynamics,

About i-CELMECH project

The I-CELMECH project – “New frontiers of Celestial Mechanics: theory and applications” is a PRIN project (“Projects of national interest”) funded by the Italian Ministry of Education, University and Research.

The I-CELMECH project focuses on mathematical methods in Celestial Mechanics with the goal of advancing in parallel on the theoretical part (perturbative and stability theories) and to provide applications to astrodynamical problems of interest for space agencies and industries.
